Are you an early-career digital marketer who’s excited about SEO, Google Ads, and learning how real client campaigns run? Bizfront, a 5-star rated, BBB A+ certified digital agency, is looking for a Search Marketing Assistant to support SEO and SEM work across multiple client accounts.


This part-time, Calgary-based remote role is perfect for someone who has some hands-on experience, loves learning, and wants mentorship in a fast-growing digital agency.


Key Responsibilities

Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

Support our SEO efforts through tasks like:

  • Ensuring NAP (Name, Address, Phone) consistency

  • Assisting with Google Business Profile updates

  • Basic backlink research and outreach

  • Helping monitor and organize online reviews

  • Other junior-level off-site SEO activities


Search Engine Marketing (SEM)

Assist with Google Ads management, including:

  • Setting up ad groups and keyword lists

  • Writing and refining ad headlines/descriptions

  • Organizing visuals and assets for campaigns

  • Helping optimize campaigns over time

  • Recording simple LOOM video updates for clients (training provided)

We’ll teach you how to approach data, optimizations, and reporting so you can develop into a confident SEM operator.

Who You Are

  • Preferred: You have some experience with SEO or Google Ads (school, freelance, or entry-level role)

  • You’re detail-oriented, curious, and eager to learn

  • You communicate clearly and professionally

  • You’re comfortable working independently in a remote setting

  • You’re available 25 hours/week, ideally in a consistent daily schedule


We’ll Help You Build Skills In:

  • Google Ads best practices and campaign optimization

  • Using tools like LOOM, Google Analytics, and keyword planners

  • Understanding how agency workflows operate and how to manage multiple client accounts


Qualifications

  • High school diploma required

  • Post-secondary education in marketing or business is preferred


What We Offer

  • $20–$25 per hour, depending on experience

  • Remote work with occasional in-person sessions (Calgary preferred)

  • Clear training, mentorship, and hands-on experience

  • Opportunities to grow into more advanced SEO/SEM responsibilities
